Chrissy Teigen had an abortion to save her life. The model and actress opened up about the experience in an interview with People magazine,

saying that she made the decision after a doctor told her that if she didn't have the abortion, her health would be in jeopardy.

Teigen said that she was 20 weeks pregnant when she made the choice and it was one of the toughest things she's ever done.

"I don't regret it because if I didn't have it, I probably would have died," Teigen said. "But it's hard because everyone is like, 'You're so brave and I'm like, 'No, no, no. It was really hard.

Teigen said that during a difficult conversation with Legend after the Supreme Court overturned abortion rights earlier this summer, she began to appreciate what had occurred. 

After the decision, Teigen said she told him she felt sympathy for those who've faced the emotional burden of abortion decisions. she began to appreciate what had occurred.
